About Gregory

A career across cultures,
disciplines, and stories.

Gregory Jackson is a New York-based actor, filmmaker, narrator, spokesperson, and French-English translator
and interpreter whose career has moved between performance, filmmaking, language,
and international affairs.

01 | Origin

Between worlds
from the beginning.

Born in New Jersey and raised between the United States, the United Kingdom,
and Europe, Gregory grew up moving between languages, cultures, and identities.
By the age of 15, he had attended ten different schools in five countries.

Those experiences gave him an early appreciation for language and storytelling
—and a lasting sensitivity to what it means to move between worlds,
adapt to new environments, and see things from more than one perspective.

02 | Career

From international affairs
to the performing arts.

Gregory studied International Relations at Boston University and later studied law
at the Sorbonne. Before the performing arts became his primary focus,
he worked in a Washington, D.C. Congressional office, on a political campaign, and at major law firms in New York and Los Angeles.

His professional path eventually led him toward acting, filmmaking,
and storytelling, while his background in law, international affairs,
and language continued to inform his work as a translator and interpreter.

03 | Performance

Thirty years
telling stories.

Gregory is a SAG-AFTRA actor with more than three decades of experience across stage, film, television, comedy, and voice work. His credits include Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, national tours, television dramas
and series, studio films, comedy, and independent productions.

He trained at institutions including the Actors Studio, Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, Stella Adler, and the American Film Institute, developing a performance practice grounded in character, text, observation, and collaboration.

04 | Filmmaking

Behind the camera.

Gregory’s work as a filmmaker grew naturally from his experience as an actor and his interest in the entire storytelling process. An AFI-trained filmmaker, he has written, directed, and produced narrative and documentary projects that have screened at festivals internationally and received recognition for directing, acting, and filmmaking.

Alongside his independent film work, Gregory is co-founder and producer of Alliance Productions, a French audiovisual production company with more than 30 years of experience producing corporate, institutional, documentary, and event content for companies, public organizations, and international clients.

05 | Language

Words, culture, context.

Gregory’s work in French-English translation and interpreting has continued alongside his career in the performing arts for more than two decades.
His assignments have included legal, business, financial, insurance, governmental, economic, technical, and creative material,
as well as consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.

His language work is informed by the same curiosity about people, culture, context, and communication that drives his work as an actor and filmmaker.

French · English · Spanish · German · Italian

One career.
Many forms of storytelling.

Across all of Gregory’s work, the same interests keep returning: people, language, identity, culture, and the stories we tell about ourselves
and one another.

Whether interpreting a conversation, inhabiting a character, narrating a book, directing a film, or communicating on behalf of a brand, his work begins with understanding what someone is trying to say —and finding the most authentic way to bring it to an audience.
